Recently Judie was expressing her exasperation and frustration at waiting for her intentions to manifest. She had joined our group at the coffee shop to understand more about how to manifest. She was doing so many things actively, like her vision board and reading inspirational books on how to manifest. She still felt she wasn't getting it right.

Are you trying so hard, working at creating that dream life, with the car, the house, the boat, the man or woman? Does it seem like a distant dream? Are the people around you pointing out that "you said you are a master manifestor, so where's the stuff?"

You are not alone. But the answer is straightforward. Creating a new future includes only two areas to work on: Asking, and Receiving. The details of each we can talk about later, but in all its simplicity, these are your only areas of work. Oh, and I didn't say 'hard work.'
Imagining what you want will make it easy and fun work. It will also give you clarity about your next steps. Taking action is part of the Receiving, and learning how to take action includes a few simple processes. Really, it is easy, and you were born knowing this. It is your mind that carries the blocks and barriers to manifesting very quickly, and your mind holds these barriers in the form of beliefs.
So with Judie, we could hear her limiting beliefs when she told us "it's hard"(even though she told us several things she manifested easily); "I can't find people who think the way I do" (she was sitting with a group of people who think like she does); "It's easier for people who..." (you can fill in any blank here);"I will never get this!"(a self-fulfilling prophesy).

I began to help her be accountable to her words and speaking, and each time I heard her beliefs declaring something like it was truth, I gently told her: "IF YOU SAY SO...". By the end of the evening she realised how much she was responsible for slowing down some of her manifesting with so many beliefs.

You can use your mind in all its strengths, but don't let it lead the way. Know the simple steps in creating, and then learn about how to remove any blocks and barriers you have been carrying through your beliefs about yourself, about others, about money, about Life! Then Life opens up to provide all that you require and desire.

How Do You Define Abundance?

Abundance is a concept often debated in spiritual and entrepreneurial circles. Entrepreneurs commonly use the catch-phrase "thinking BIG," but they really mean the same thing.
Abundance is tough to define because it's one of those unique ideas that must be experienced to really be understood ... it can't just be explained.

Yet the most encouraging part of adopting an abundance mindset is how it can connect you to people with totally different set of beliefs and values. It instantly sustains inclusivity even with people who are dramatically different.

POP QUIZ: What do Mother Theresa and Donald Trump have most in common?

The answer is their abundance mind-set.

Donald Trump says, "If you're going to think anyway, you might as well think big."

Mother Theresa said: "The more we discover the magnitude and abundance of God's gifts, the more we will find ourselves."

Again, the abundance mindset creates connections.

Bucky Fuller had this to say about the abundance mindset:
"The condition of planet earth is abundance. Our belief in either scarcity or abundance determines how our financial, legal, political and military systems are set up or exist at all.

Above all, the abundance-mindset is a choice. In other words, you choose to look through the lens of scarcity, or through the lens of abundance. There is no in-between.

Because there are are so many differing opinions about abundance, my colleagues and I have decided to conductthis worldwide survey get more opinions - your opinion - on this highly debated topic.

Thailand is Thankfulness

Our final few days in Thailand were spent in Bangkok, near Khao San Road. This is the oldest part of Bangkok, and we were delighted by the aliveness and variety of life here. We stayed at the Viengtai Hotel which was a great basic hotel close to many activities. Wifi was free in a restaurant across the street so I spent a bit of time over there when I needed to catch up.

We shopped, bought souvenirs, and went for a 90 minute foot and body massage in the oldest building left in this part of Bangkok. It was an exquisite experience from the first cup of tea while having my feet washed (I felt like a little kid again being taken care of) and finally the totally relaxing and rejuvenating massage. I walked away feeling like I was floating down the street.

As a totally different experience we visited a natural healing centre on the other side of Bangkok. The Chinese medicine doctor and staff were highly skilled and we spent some time with them. We had met the doctor at a seminar in Hua Hin and thought we would meet up with him while we were in Bangkok. He had told me he had some photos of UFOs he had taken at a meditation retreat in Tibet(!). I was curious to see his photos so he gave me his card and we looked him up. The photos were on display in his main room and we found his stories fascinating. He could describe in detail the beings he could see in these small discs across the sky. He also showed us his treasured cabinet of healing stones. One by one he handed me some egg shaped onyx stones. He asked me where in my body could I feel anything. After about 5 seconds my throat began to feel tight and I could not even speak. I raised my hand to my throat and he took it back. He handed me the next one and my head immediately felt constricted both in the front and back of my skull. He handed me another and I felt my lower stomach begin to tingle. I listened, wide-eyed as he took each label from under the corresponding stones and read the area of healing for each: throat, head and stomach. Never before had I experienced energy in stones with specific areas. He explained that he searches out different healing stones for different purposes. Then he took out an ancient "healing bowl". Filled with water this simple brass bowl with two upright handles produced some eerie but beautiful musical sounds as he 'played' the sounds of fire, wind, earth and water. At one point the harmonics created a boiling reaction in the water as it responded to the different sounds. This visit was a highlight of my holiday.

And finally, the temples; we travelled around Bangkok in a tuk-tuk looking at the wonderful Buddhas adorned in gold. Some were inside temples and some were in the courtyards. We were treated to chanting monks at one, which drew me into an immediate state of bliss. All of the temples and Buddhas were awe inspiring and I could feel the energy of reverence.

The last temple was Wat Pho, adjacent to the Royal Palace grounds. We hired a guide and got to hear about the first massage school in Thailand, there at the Wat Pho grounds. With no teacher, only murals with anatomy diagrams they learned and practiced on each other.

We moved on to see some of the 1250 Buddhas in Wat Pho, with the final one being the Reclining Buddha, majestic yet at peace. The guide told us this was a very special Buddha because this was his last position before the great one ascended forever.

What a fabulous place. We felt safe, happy and flowing. I learned that the Thai people do not search for happiness. Sometimes they are happy and sometimes they are not. But it had nothing to do with their outer circumstances. One thing that stood out above all else was their thankfulness toward anything and everything, toward life itself. Korp Kun Ka.

$50 and 15 hours: Koh Chang to Hua Hin

Yesterday was a bit of a blur, with 15 hours travel around the east side of the Gulf of Thailand to the west. This morning we awoke in a lovely hotel room to a smiling breakfast - happy Thailand again!

I don't drink alcohol so I have no excuse for the lack of detail around the events of yesterday. We just went without reservations from one mode of transport to the next with helpful English speaking Thais showing up just at the right time. The travel in itself was easy, flowing and pleasant. Trucks, the ferry, more trucks, and buses through Trat, back through Chanthaburi to Bangkok. Our 6 hour bus ride was air conditioned, with a "bus hostess" plying us with coca-cola until our lunch stop, where we got to experience our first squat toilet in Thailand. No comment necessary. On the bus we read for a while, then shared a headphone as Gayel and I listened to Marianne Williamson (wow!) and Wayne Dyer audios on her Apple laptop, until we depleted the battery.

We got off at the Bangkok Ekkamai (eastern) bus station and taxied through the post-Songkran city to the southern bus station, where a dutiful and helpful information "officer" escorted us to the Hua Hin ticketing booth, then to a great little eatery for more yum Thai food as we waited for our bus departure. We wandered off track until we found our bus and continued on for another 3+ hours where we and our bags got off in the middle of the Hua Hin nightlife at 9:30pm. With only a name of a recommended hotel (My Place) we hopped in a taxi and 15 minutes later we were climbing into our cosy beds. Wow, 15 hours and we came so far, but focused on our final destination we didn't think about the time or travel. When we added up the costs it was only $50 each, which was surprising considering the distance and time we travelled.

What was the best part of the day? Mine was a moment in time where I got to thank the helpful information officer at the southern bus station. He and I were locked in a moment of gratitude as I thanked him Thai style, and he responded with the same. I don't have a photo of that moment for you, but it is locked in my heart and my mind; my hands touching in front of my face, bowing slightly with me saying "Korp Kun Ka" as he faced me, doing the same.

In a Time Capsule, Bang Bao Thailand

Who wouldv'e thought that a little fishing village could offer so much serenity and simplicity? Gayel and I decided to look for that sunrise and headed for Bang Bao at the southern end of Koh Chang. When we arrived we started down a small walkway with shops on either side. We soon realised that we were on the pier itself, and had overshot our intended bungalow sites.

However with all our bags we didn't want to go all the way back so we found a couple nearby 'guest room' resorts. The Buddha View appealed so we booked in for one night. It is beautifully appointed with very reasonable rates (800-1200 Thai Bhat per night - that's about $40-60 Australian for 2 people). These guest rooms are over the water, generally with their own restaurant but there is plenty of choice here.

We were thrilled that we decided to come down here, and got much more than we expected. As we walked the rest of the pier the fishing and scuba boats were all coming in. The lighthouse at the end was a nice place to view both this pier-town and the surrounding bay and islands. We have had mixed weather, but always warm.

Last night at the Buddha View we had dinner sitting at a glass floor-table with our legs dangling underneathe and the water below. As usual we had a spectacular Pad dish with beef, peppercorns and holy basil.

Today we wandered the pier-shops. Since it is Saturday and they are still celebrating Songkran it was quiet. Gayel had a crepe with cashew and chocolate thinly spread inside, and I had frozen ices (I noticed I was the only adult having these).

Bang Bao only got road access 10 years ago, so it is still slower than the rest of the other places we've just been to. This is very different, and not your typical hotel-pool-restaurant-beach experience, but one that I am so glad I got to experience.

As for Cambodia, we both feel it's not the next step, even though we are close to the border. It all feels complicated and blocked, with entry visas, 12 hour bus, then taxi rides. As we were standing at a tourist desk gathering all this info I turned to Gayel and said, "this feels like Cambodia is not next, so let's look at Hua Hin." At that moment the information agent beamed and said "oh, I love Hua Hin! I just came back from a week there." She gave us two other places to explore around there too. So off we go back through Bangkok and on South to Hua Hin, to see what adventures await us there.

I could do this for the rest of my life! I love my work. This is my passion and purpose: to share the simplicity of creating your Dream Life. Even in Thailand, I am happy to be sitting at an Internet cafe with fast access, because I can continue my online courses and connect with so many people. I have been uploading Gayel's videos and photos, and teaching her how to do her own blogs and photo uploads, and she is a fast learner. I just iron out the hairpin turns in the world of technology so that it all gets done.

The way she shares her journey is almost poetry; very different from my 'travel journal' perspective. Both of us are here expressing different things from the same experiences. I am ever-watching as the next step appears to us. Gayel was pouring through brochures, timetables and internet web sites. For me, that all got too hard, because it went beyond doing it to (Step 1) Know What You Want. It began to move into 'how do we do it' and unless that is the NEXT step, to me it is like trying on 50 outfits in the store if you don't know whether you are going to a ball or the beach. Once we sat back a bit we got clarity on two things; Gayel wants to see a sunrise - we are on the western side of the island of Koh Chang and have beautiful, striking sunsets, but now we are ready for both. So after 3 nights at the Grand View Resort with its lovely garden and great highspeed (heehee) wireless access we move south to Bang Bao fishing village.

The only other NEXT to consider for us is Cambodia. As I let go of 'how' I am using (Step 2) Imagine With Emotion to get us there with flow. Although we have talked about buses and tours and have not settled on transport, my desire strengthens to be standing facing the ruins of Angkor Wat temple with its carved face of Buddha and 108 spires in the overgrown walls. We are so close (hours away) that it is something I am emotionally focused on. I have spent blissful moments transported forward in time to be there, in awe and reverence of the energy there.

The power of imagination cannot be underestimated. Using this mental tool in the correct way (with emotion) is like talking directly to Source, with almost instant results for the next step on the path to living the dream, whatever that is in any moment.

Arrived in Koh Chang with ease and grace

What an amazing flowing day yesterday. 6 hours travel from truck to bus to ferry to van, but each step was revealed to us only as we got to the next step. People, circumstances and timing all conspired to help and assist us on our intention to get to Koh Chang.
We left the relative luxury of Faasai, with unlimited wifi access and dragged our gear onward. I like packing lightly but this trip has all the technology requirements, so I have heavier bags than usual. We met a couple on the way and Gayel asked where they were staying. We followed them in their pre-arranged van pick up to a hotel at Kai Bae, arriving at sunset. Our hotel is lovely and luxurious, still with an island feel about it. I am at the Internet cafe (it costs 1Thai Baht per minute: about 3 AUS dollars an hour).

We are going to find Gayel's friend and hairdresser, Vicky, who is staying at White Sand Beach for another day. Vicky is the one who told Gayel about all the places in Thailand in perfect timing only a few weeks before we left. We are also going to explore the area and see where we stay next. It looks a lot like Phuket here, which means Thai standard of tourist area. Gayel and I are deciding what we'd like to experience here; elephant walks or boat cruises. We are considering taking a tour of Cambodia to Angkor Wat after we leave here...we will see.

The food in Thailand is incredible. Hot and spiced, but wonderful, and lots of fresh seafood because we are on the Bay of Thailand.

Tonight we have a "Cabaret Show" at our waterfront hotel restaurant. Of course this is a show of "Ladymen" - queens - so who knows what to expect. I think I will do something frivolous today and splurge on getting my toenails painted. Hah!

Here I am in rural, wild Thailand at a relaxed peaceful eco resort where my only possible frustration is geting fast wifi access to upload youtube video blogs. Ok and maybe the mosquitos converging all at once, truth be told.

I used Skype to phone home for the first time since I left 3 days ago. My husband answered in a sleepy voice, as it was 11pm there. We had a breif warbled talk and I was going to sign off because of the technology challenges and he really couldn't hear me that well. I almost said goodbye, but he started to say something, then stopped. I said 'go ahead', since I could hear him perfectly. He started the next sentence with..."I wasn't going to tell you this now, but since you've called..."
His tone set my alarms off. My mind raced forward; What was going on at home? Then he told me. "Mum died yesterday."

I was still stuck on that first sentence as he continued with details of how my mother in law was rushed to hospital, had conversations with everyone -even spoke to Gary on the phone about going home- then 24 hours later she sat upright and told everyone there, "I have to go!" and then she chose in that moment to leave.

Somehow it was not making sense, but I knew what he was saying. His mother, in frail health was gone. Her mental and physical condition had deteriorated in the last year and Gary had only gone back 2 weeks ago to celebrate her 85th birthday. A mix of emotions took control of me - Kath was gone! Gary is alone to deal with his mothers death - my kiwi mother, and I am in Thailand for 3 weeks. Gary wasn't going to tell me because he didn't want me to come back and cut the trip short, and no one in the family expected me to come back. Plus, he said, I wouldn't make it back in time for the funeral today. He is flying to NZ alone. But what about the boys, I thought? My 16 year old and 11 year old are not going with him? My mind raced ahead in confusion. He is leaving them home alone for 2 days. Both boys are on school holidays. Our friends and neighbours rallied round to help and offered to look in on them.

But I am here! I listened to him and told him I am so sorry that I am not there. Only a few weeks ago we talked about this possibility. We talked about all four of us flying back if it happened, because I wanted to be there too. This woman accepted me as her daughter in law the moment I met her back in 1988. All of Gary's family (my kiwi family) have been there for me for over 20 years. I should be there! I wanted to be there. And now that choice has so many complications.

So, I stay here. He grieves alone. He grieves with his family. My family. And I will still be here for several weeks.

I think about my children - alone in their grieving too. But we have raised them to be independent - and this, I suppose, is their coming of age. I will call them soon, to at least be there in voice with them.

As I process all this emotion throughout the day there are times when I feel calm, happy and almost blissful in this beautiful serene wild countryside in Thailand. The sadness and regret are gone. Then the "shoulds" and "shouldn'ts" come in. I shouldn't be happy - Kath is gone - Gary and the kids are alone.

Yet strangely enough, this is what I came here to experience; choosing happiness regardless of the circumstances. How odd all of this is! Yet I am complete with Kath. I loved her and I love her. And tomorrow I may cry again, but for this moment I choose to be happy. Goodbye Kath, and thank you for coming into my life.

Chanthaburi Region, Faasai Resort

Gayel and I had breakfast, repacked and took a taxi to the bus station. Our bus to the remote region of Chanthaburi in the eastern bay area was perfectly timed for us, leaving in 15 minutes after we arrived. The two hour bus ride was easy, air conditioned with refreshments and almost no stops. We got off at our stop and tried a phone booth to call our resort. Having difficulty we asked some locals and found a girl who spoke English fairly well. She helped us call the resort, using her sister's mobile phone and would not take any money to pay for the lengthy call as we tried to interpret and get instructions for pickup. The Faasai resort owners Surin and Bronwen drove almost 30 minutes to collect us and bring us to their resort.

At last we arrived at our home for the next 5 days. Wild and yet civilized, this garden resort is in rural Thailand. Peaceful and relaxed we started to settle in. Bronwen is a New Zealander married to a Thai man, Surin and has lived here ever since, creating their dream of an eco-resort from ground-breaking to what it is now, a beautiful relaxed resort surrounded by the wild.

We celebrated Songkran along with the staff and family that night. They performed Thai dancing for us, and we did our best to represent New Zealand, singing Po Kare, E Papa and the national Anthem as Bronwen and her sister Marina tossed sticks and swung pois. We all ended up pretending to be Thai dancing for several hours.

My last moment of dancing ended when I somehow reached backwards and brought my glass crashing to the floor, which cleared the bare foot dancers from the floor and stopped the music for a few minutes as we all picked up the shattered glass from the floor. I was contemplating this strange occurance as it felt like an omen of something. I am not superstitous so I wondered what it meant and tried to let it go as the ramblings of my mind. The next day it made sense, as I got some bad news.

Goodbye Australia, hello Bangkok

As I hugged my husband and children goodbye they seemed to linger more than usual. I was looking forward to my adventure. After two years writing a book, this was a pattern break from my normal life. I was getting on a plane, first to Kuala Lumpur and then on to Bangkok where I would meet my friend Gayel.

We are going on a journey. For me, it's not a holiday; it's some sort of 'calling'. That's how I describe it. I have been drawn into this path, and I have surrendered to be the follower. I did not choose the place or the theme, but it's no obligation. Gayel talked to me about her "finding 50" journey and when she saw me intently photographing my garden she said "why don't you come?" After talking to my husband about the logistics and realising I could do this, I happily said "sure!". And I meant it. She needed help with the internet video uploading and blogging to share her vision with her friends and the rest of the world. With 20 years in the computer industry I knew I was the one being called to help her. It also fit perfectly with a bigger project I have that will come to fruition this year, and this trip is the trial for expanding that project. It made sense for me to encourage her to live her dreams, and it felt right. So off I went.

Stopping in KL was an adventure in itself, just in the airport to find and check in to my next flight. As I looked around at the sea of faces I realised I was the white girl minority. I felt safe even though I knew I was different. There are some places in the world that I haven't felt that way. As I settled in at the departure gate I noticed how homogenous we are getting. Take away our facial features and skin colour differences and I could have been anywhere in the world. Gone are the colourful national costumes. American style clothing, food and duty free shopping was the only menu; cigarettes, alcohol and perfume, with McDonalds and cappuccinos.

Maybe it's because I was raised in Toronto, Canada that I have a heightened appreciation for cultural diversity; for keeping our traditions and celebrating our differences. That's what I loved about Canada. And my first excursion into Asia was disappointing in it's 'sameness'. I wanted different! That's what I was travelling for. I consciously let go of my critical eye and accepted it for what it is. I guess part of the benefit was what came next; I was able to plug in my laptop computer and hook into the wireless wifi site at the KL airport. Wow-this is technology at its best. I sent a few emails to Gary and the kids, and updated my twitter and facebook friends.

When it was time I walked out to the tarmack ready to board the plane. As I got to the stairs I felt relief to be on the last leg to Bangkok, and I had a flashback to Mel Gibson getting on the plane in "The Year of Living Dangerously". I thought that for Gayel this could be called "The Year of Living Simply". Little did I know that thought and movie would prophetically connect with me again in Bangkok.

On the flight I was surprised to be put in a full row even though the last 10 rows behind me were almost empty. I crawled over two people to the window seat and sat next to a young blonde girl. About halfway through the flight we began to talk, after noticing our books. She had "The Power of NOW" and I had "Paramahamsa Yogananda" - my gift from Gayel. It wasn't long before I realised why we were seated together. Two like minded souls found each other in a sea of cross culture. Talking to her was the first indication that anything out of the ordinary was happening in Thailand. She told me she had cancelled her week long retreat in Koh Samui and instead was going to Cambodia on a bus trip, because of the "increasing political tensions".

The taxi ride to the hotel was uneventful and the 5 lane highway was almost empty. I asked about the deserted roads and asked if it was because of the political situation and the driver commented it was Songkran - Thai New Year, where the city shuts down for 3 days. That was the one thing I knew about this trip to Thailand; that I was arriving on their biggest holiday. I was told before I got there to prepare to get wet! It is a water festival and the people take delight in throwing buckets of water over you, whether you are walking or driving. I found this out later as I went across the street to the 7/11 for a phone card; it felt more like a baptism, with 3 buckets from three happy celebrating Thai girls, who immediately apologised afterwards. I stood dripping in the 7/11 but they had a towel on the floor for this very purpose.

As I walked back to the hotel the lobby news was broadcasting the army with teargas and guns. The concierge explained with a map that it was in the opposite side of the city. I looked at the staff and they were watching but not concerned, so I took my cue from them. When I dialed into the Australian Internet news I was startled to hear that all Australians were told to get out of Thailand, that marshall law was declared and the airport might be closed soon. Gayel was already in the air on her way to Bangkok. I wondered briefly if she was going to make it through in time, but I had no intention of turning around and leaving.

The News was filled with dire predictions, when my reality was a benign city with gentle hospitable people celebrating happily. Gayel arrived in the middle of the night without incident and the airport showed no signs of any alarming activity. Our short stay in Bangkok was unremarkable and pleasant and we are ready to set off to our eco-resort in the Chanthaburi region in the eastern-south side near Cambodia.

So it is true: Thai people are happy not because of their outer conditions and circumstances, but separate from it. Their happiness seems to be grounded within.

Searching for Happiness in Thailand

Well...

today my title is making a point. It's the opposite of how I feel about happiness, but I wanted to emphasize that most of us grew up with the subconscious message that "when I get ... then I will be happy."

The Truth that you can experience for yourself is, Happiness is a Choice. You start with happiness, and the rest comes, or not. But you still have happiness.

I will be exploring the relationship to happiness as I follow my friend Gayel throughout Thailand over the next 3 weeks. You can follow us both through this blog and youtube.

I have briefly been to Thailand once before in 2000, and I noticed that although there was poverty over the back fence of each hotel, the Thai people seemed so joyous and happy. I am interested in observing more of this and I will share it with you. I know very little about the geography, history, culture or customs (except of course if you have read my book you would know that I already found out how to say "thankyou"). This trip is a wide open unknown for me, and I am following the flow of the Universe to do this special trip. I will be creating as I go, alongside Gayel and you may see some interesting SPEED Manifesting(TM) as you watch us authentically, transparently following the SPEED Manifesting Method(TM). The insight you will gain from watching us will be invaluable to your own journey of learning to create consistently and quickly.

I fly out from the Gold Coast to KL Kuala Lumpur on the way to Bangkok. I have a day in Bangkok as I await Gayel's flight from Christchurch New Zealand to join me the next day. I have a one night hotel booked, but I have no idea what I will be doing there. I can sort out some intentions for the day before I get there so I can create a great day's experience. Sounds like something good to do on the 9 hour plane flight.

Get Started on your Dream, No Matter What

As we continue toward my friend Gayel's "finding50" around the world [see earlier posts], we are being confronted with our own belief systems, and those of others. It is seemingly getting more complicated, with more crew involved, and thus the 'need' for contributions by investors and sponsors. As external advice and expansion of the plan comes through, we seem to be losing flow, ease and simplicity.

Maybe it was because my father was married 10 times and had a 'complicated' life full of self-made dramas, but I seem to have developed an awareness-antenna if things get complicated or the dramas start to come.

To me, life truly is simple. It is about the choices we make on this day, today. It is about respect and a long and patient effort at self control for our greater good, and the good of those around us. It is also about conquering the reactions and learning to breathe. It is understanding what we want, and then walking calmly, but boldly toward it. My life experience has shown me that others do not know what is best for us, and we are each responsible for our independent dreams and goals.

Two distinct life-changing experiences proved to me that sometimes you have to live your dreams even when it doesn't make sense to those around you. One was my first parachute jump. We had a large group of people at my work talking about it and we said "yes, let's do it!". As the chosen date came near, more and more people suddenly didn't have the time or the money - the two most common reasons that stop people from what they really want. Finally the time came to book and pay, and I was the only one left. It was a 3 hour drive and I really wanted to do it, so I went anyway. After a 5 hour training it began to rain and the flying club stopped all jumps that day. I booked for 3 weeks later, and this time I came with my mother, stepfather and boyfriend, all celebrating with me as my fan club! It took hours of waiting and finally my turn came. The photo my mother took afterwards says it all, my HUGE grin as I came back through the fields carting a heavy parachute. Almost (yikes!) 30 years later I still rate that experience as one of the top FIVE in my life - right up there with swimming with the dolphins and having my children.

The other experience, can you imagine, changed the entire course of my life, because I met my future husband on a Contiki tour of Europe and we fell in love. Before that trip I had two friends who said, "yah, let's go to Europe!". Then, it all became too hard for them. I KNEW this was a now-or-never time in my life. I went to the bank and borrowed $2000 (the bank manager spent the entire time telling me about her wonderful European holiday) and saved a little cash for spending money. It was an awesome experience even aside from meeting the man of my dreams and having our first date - a gondola ride in Venice.

To fulfill one of your dreams is a deep, satisfying feeling of accomplishment that no one can explain. It makes the next dreams possible, because you have pushed through the resistance; from you and from other well meaning people.

To achieve your dreams is simple; set them, then continue to walk toward them, no matter what. Find a way through or around any obstacle that comes up. Be unstoppable in embarking on your plan. Get started without getting stopped by the details. Take care of the first steps and you will find that the completion takes on a life of its own.

Please, I ask of you, just get started, no matter what. Then at least you'll know that you walked all paths of your life. You can almost always go back, even if things work out differently than you expect.

Just before my stepfather died of cancer at 63 years old, he and my mother were discussing their happy life together, and he told her he had no regrets from anything they did, no matter how it turned out. He said he 'couldn't take it with him' and any regrets he had were from the things they didn't didn't do and the dreams that died with him, untried.

SPEED Wobbles

I confess it's been over a week since my last blog.

And what a week it's been.

Since the beginning of February I have been talking with my friend and coaching student Gayel on the current 28 Day SPEED Manifesting Challenge about her "finding50" quest. We have been exploring how to re-ignite her 2 year forgotten dream of celebrating her upcoming 50th birthday by taking a year (50 weeks) off to travel and immerse herself in the experiences of spirituality, learning and peace. She was watching this dream slip away as her 50th birthday year emerged. She has a wonderful man in her life now, and truly doesn't want to spend a year away from him. He has spent 20 years traveling the world and is working in his purpose now.

By re-framing her dream we were able to explore another option; could you accomplish it in 50 days instead of 50 weeks? From that point on, the possibility became her reality and her clarity about the quest allowed the decision and the action.

At that time she saw me taking photographs in my garden and also knows I am from the computer industry, so she asked me to come with her and film it. My immediate answer within my heart and my mind was a quiet peace, calmness and silence, which allowed the perfect response; sure! It was possible for me to do this, as my business is online courses and teleseminars and I can do that anywhere in the world that has Internet and phones. My husband supports this idea and completely got behind it. I have an airfare I can use for this. The timing was perfect and the first few steps were easily viewable to me.

What is astounding, is that only a few months ago I had decided to do some sort of travelling reality show which people could actually follow me with a team who were manifesting FAST - using the SPEED Manifesting Method. I feel it is important for more people to witness it happening to believe how easy and simple it is to manifest quickly. I said it, I declared it, and then I let it go, not knowing how to do any of it.

Recently 3 distinct things happened to bring this to me (I have not been pushing or chasing this, as I really did not know how to do it).

one) twitter. I joined twitter on 20th December and within a month I had over 1,000 wonderful tweeps - people - following me. I was learning and laughing from them. It is an awesome tool to connect with people and be informed about the real world from the perspective of individual snippets of people's lives and words.

two) Maria Andros, The Video Marketing Queen. I found her through a twitter recommendation and her style of authentic and transparent video blogs caught my attention. It has also caught the attention of many other thankful students. I could see myself doing what she was doing and applying it to a SPEED Manifesting travelling Challenge.

three) Gayel Marquet and her finding50 quest and invitation to take care of the technology support and video blogging as we travel. Now another wonderful part of our mastermind is complete as Gayel's friend Theresa joins us and is the perfect complement to our abundant, conscious, spiritual quest.

So what does this have to do with my SPEED Wobbles this week? Earlier this week it was starting too feel 'big' because I made it so. I started going to far into the future and switched into my planning mode, and worry crept in. That is not flow, and I let go of the detail. We are working on the next step, the Itinerary so we can organize the flights. Now it is easy again, and I am releasing any energy of resistance as it happens. I am free to be in the NOW. As this develops I have realised that I am called to do this with Gayel and Theresa, and simultaneously bring you along on my SPEED Manifesting Around The World.

Every day is a Saturday

Today is a very special day. It is my husband Gary's 50th birthday. And do you know what we just did? We are only half way through the day but it's been full. We just arrived back from having coffees and cakes at the beachfront bistro at the Surf Lifesaving Club near Surfer's Paradise Australia. We went for a swim in the ocean and enjoyed the beautiful blue sky and the multiple hues of blue in the ocean. I appreciate our lifestyle so much because we can have this flexible time to play and be with each other.

The kids and I woke him early with his presents, giving him a new carry case for his mobile phone, and some new micro headphones. Then we gave him another present, small and lightweight. It was a cover for an iPod Classic. But he doesn't have one. My teen son has one. This confused him. Then we pulled out another present and the boys handed him a small but weighty present. Yes it is the iPod. See, Gary doesn't spend much money on himself, and usually he'll go for second hand stuff or something discarded that he has fixed. And he does so much for us as a family, but he hasn't been able to receive easily. It was a delight to watch his face as he realised he has this wonderful new toy.

He is at our resort complex pool now, having a swim and listening to whatever he wants; probably watching 5th Element, his favourite movie that my son loaded on for him last night. I can see his face and feel his happiness at this gift. He deserves it and it is an expression of appreciation for everything. The loyalty, the love, the diligence, all without asking much from us, supporting me in whatever I am doing.

Here it is 20 years since I met this wonderful man and supportive husband and fun father, and my love for him is still growing. It wasn't always easy, but for us it gets easier each passing milestone.

During the darkest time in our family life and relationship I gave him a plastic key fob that said: "Grow old with me. The best is yet to come." You know, years later in his workshop I found a little piece of paper broken out of the fob with that writing on it; all that was left from a worn out plastic keychain. He had kept that paper and the words on it had somehow kept him going. I didn't know he was so sentimental.

What a wonderful life we have. Like a Saturday, with no schedule except what we make; time to prioritise what is really important in life, and the money to be able to enjoy the things in life that money cannot buy.

The Universe Rewards Urgency

With only one day to start the next 28 Day Challenge I am amazed how many people are coming on board now, in the last 24 hours of sign up. Procrastination is something different, because this feels like people making DECISIONS powerfully in the NOW. It's like they got to that place where they say "ENOUGH". I have been there, and I have also been in procrastination. The difference is one small step. But the feeling is light-years away.

I live in the moment most of the time. For me, it has not been a transformation. I have always found it easier to do what was in front of me rather than planning for a month or a year ahead. My imagination is strong and I dwell in a future imagination but it is a discipline to write lists and complete tasks ahead of a sense of urgency in the NOW.

With the Law of Attraction always at work, that is why I attract people like me, mostly. The good news is I can help those people because I can move them into using the NOW to faster manifesting.

Looking forward to working closer with you in the NOW.

"I am Spiritual" = "Money is Bad"

Standing at the Hyatt I greeted each newcomer to our abundance networking club, "Living The Secret". We usually had about 25 people each week at these Thursday night meetings. People came for different reasons, I noticed. Some came to learn more about the Law of Attraction. Some came because their friends came. Some came to network their business. Most came back, and that was always a good sign that we were providing a good space for people to share and express themselves.

After a few months my attention moved to one particular type of newcomer. They would introduce themselves and then somewhere in their conversation they would say "I am Spiritual". At first I took this to mean they were announcing that they were not religious, but believed in a Universal Intelligence.

They would engage in the group discussions and without an exception, they would be having extreme financial lack issues in their lives. They argued about 'the money-grabbing world' and the importance of love and relationships and divine spirit as most important. As you can imagine, whenever someone else networked to promote their business, these 'spiritual' people would react and I would invariably be handling complaints and be losing these members.

If you have been following my twitter or read my book you already know how I feel about spirituality, money, others and love. To me, all of it is divine. All of life is spiritual, and money is neither good nor bad; it is a way of expressing what we value in the world.

By making a declaration such as "I am [label]", we are announcing to the world: "this is how I want you to relate to me. I only accept this and anything else is not compatible with the Self I am being." Labels define, divide, distinguish and polarize.

In my Work on this planet, I have chosen to be upfront and speak my truth about Beliefs. I study them, I help others reveal and transcend them and I actively work on my own to uncover and choose my beliefs.

So let's look at the multiple beliefs that may be underneath the Label "I am spiritual".

Money is bad.
Too much money makes people bad.
I am afraid that I may love money too much.
I don't like what I see in the world and I think the wrong is related to money.
Rich people are bad.
I cannot do good work for the world and get paid well for it.

Whatever your beliefs about money, it is important to explore these statements and consider what source or primary thought they rest upon. A Belief is not Truth, but it can be true for you if you accept and internalize it. The choice rests with you once you realize it is a Belief behind your actions. And it reflects your results in life. If you don't like your results, look at your thoughts and the Beliefs running your moment-by-moment choices.

Spirituality has nothing - and everything -to do with wealth. It is a paradox because by opening up to wealth you will find a more empowering definition of Spirituality which is based on abundance rather than lack. The difference rests on your Beliefs about money. When you stop repelling and rejecting the concept of money, you will find the flow opens; the money to pay your bills, live in comfort and do great things in the world is enhanced greatly. And then you can continue to BE Spiritual. Whatever that means to you.

Teenagers keep us real. Yes, they have come here as our teachers. And when we teach them about our work, they are instantly there to let us know we are inconsistent with our teachings or even momentarily off track. I will come back to that in a minute. First, I need to explain the background.

I have vowed to give up being a Victim. You see that uppercase "V"? I am talking about the pervasive way of being that most people play out in our world. I recognized it and what it was costing me to continue playing it, so I put my stake in the ground and said, no more. I am not talking about the choices, actions and consequences of other people on me; not being victimized, no. This is different because it is an old cruel self-joke that I learned from those around me, who learned from those before them, who learned from...you get the picture. It comes from eons of forgotten knowledge and wisdom that "what you think about is what you get" and that "everything that happens to me I have created on some level". So I took 100% responsibility for my life and found a simple way to tell if I was in the state of being a Victim.

It is so simple to become aware of it and change; so easy to find it and turn it around:
STOP COMPLAINING.

That's it. It is simple. Just stop. Stop complaining about your job, your spouse, your business, the government, the price of gas, the lack of money in your life, the world problems. Just stop. Stop spewing your opinions about all that is wrong with your life, with others, with yourself, with the world.

But what would you have to talk about then? Duhhh. That is the point. From the moment you decide to release the Victim mentality you begin a walk of freedom. Freedom from giving other people and organized entities the power over your life and your happiness.

Now back to the point about the point. My 15 year old son delights in being my mentor. You know, those kind of mentors that viciously tell you when you are not being true to your words and your ideals, and laughs at you being in the gap of where-you-are from where-your-higher-self-is-on-holiday-somewhere-else. So whenever I forget this simple and easy choice and begin to complain about something or someone or the way the world is, he looks me straight in the eye and says "What are you manifesting, mom?" ARRGHH. I am humbled, if only momentarily, because he is reflecting the choice I already made about WHO I AM. Thanks for the reminder, child.

I asked for SNOW and got upside-down MELONS

I was walking to our weekly farmer's market and I saw a butterfly on a sign. I smiled because I love manifesting butterflies. It is a favourite game of mine. Then I thought, "ok Lori, you live in Queensland, Australia and manifesting butterflies could be considered a soft option." So I thought - "snow, I will manifest snow!" And then I took it straight back, because I don't like living in snow. I have lived it, breathed it, and got over it from 26 years in Detroit and Toronto. So I changed my SPEED Manifestation request to 'the word SNOW'. Then I started looking for it. I looked at each sign, each advertisement, each license plate. I walked 40 paces and turned a corner into the market.I looked at any word that I saw; ten more paces, turned right into the food stalls, and THERE IT WAS, This is how fast you can manifest. Yes it is this quick.
So this is where my SNOW came from, in beautiful, sunny Queensland, Australia. Can you see it? I laughed delightedly and my friend the Universe laughed with me as we played this game together. I believe, and it is so:SNOW:

There is a Universal Law called the Law of Similarity, and it says that things are the same everywhere. So whether this is big or small, a game or real, manifesting is fast (within the normal incubation/gestation cycle). You see, when you ask, it is given. You then have to get busy, be grateful, imagine it as you wish to receive it, and expect it, know it, have faith. You also must live your life in a sharing, giving state of consciousness, and you get to continue it. Have your thinking be deliberate and persist in this practise, and have alignment in your thinking, words and actions and for SPEED, have it all be happening NOW.

Every Day is a New Day

Tomorrow is really about the same as today. Or is it? What if we live in a reality that boldly states "Every day is a new day!"

This means forgiveness for yesterday, and wiping the slate clean of all disappointments and disagreements. It means that today begins with ...gratefulness for the NEW day about to begin, fresh, in the NOW.

Sweet freedom means allowing this belief into our life. Starting each day a new is a choice. As our consciousness comes into being on the new day, do you notice that it takes a few seconds before our memory circuits have rebooted? In those moments, we have a glimpse of what it's like to create with no past. Wake up and start counting your blessings. Look outside your window and see what there is to be grateful for; the sunrise, the rain, the birds, a new chance at life...TODAY.

Your Beliefs Are Your Roadways

Build them well or tear them up

You are standing at the cross roads; but this is not a real scene. This is the incessant fight you have between your imagination and your memory. One serves you for a new future. The other serves itself and the survival of the endless loop of emotions you continue to experience.

In confusion they are the very highway you have been driving along in life. Turning forward toward your Intentions (yes, Upper Case "I" - on purpose!) or pulling back into the same old, same old.

Your memory is full of justifications for your current beliefs. Beliefs that form the very structure and foundation of your current reality. Your imagination is your ability to dwell in another possibility for your life. The creation of your desires will be fed from this place. Your new future will be from this place.

When you are ready to move off the circular highway of beliefs and build a new road for your life, look within. Ask great questions. Challenge your current beliefs. Walk down new paths. Turn left, instead of always turning right down your habitual path.

One way to fire up your imagination is by feeding it images of hope, joy and adventure. The stuff that really makes up an abundant life.
